The process of changing your entire mindset about success is an interesting one. It essentially involves finding out about all the ways that your mind sabotages success. These are all that is making success of the type you want difficult for you. Remove them and success happens naturally.
Basically the way this works is that the continuation of energy always produces success. However, the ordinary condition of most people's consciousness is more or less attuned to an interpretation of reality in which success and failure both seem like valid and equal options. By the standard reasoning, you may succeed or you may fail, and which one occurs depends on your efforts and some degree of luck.
This is an error prone type of understanding. The important thing to realize is that this understanding itself leads the consciousness to erroneously create failure, since it gives reality to both options.
The way awareness gives reality to the failure option, indeed to only way it can, is by stopping the success process. it does this by the common means of quitting and giving up. These are totally erroneous responses and have no rational basis whatsoever. This is the point that it is important to grasp.
Another way of looking at this is in terms of attention. This concept is getting more and more readily recognized and popularized these days. The attention creates, finds, aligns, or energizes what it is focused on. The way this one fallacious "failure" action occurs is by the attention being taken off a certain goal and put on other items.
This is actually fine. Attention can do whatever it wants. An individual however needs to realize how this works. putting attention back on a success goal reenergizes the success process and it continues. But if someone is under the impression that failure is real, then they will interpret the shifting of attention as failure and actually put their attention on the concept of failure, energizing it. Nothing could be more absurd. But consciousness does this anyway under the influence of wrong understanding and the general hustle and bustle of life.
Once you see how laughable this is you will never do it again. It is an extremely simple error and is thus equally easily changed.
